What You Should Bring on Your 4x4 for the Rubicon and Other Off-Road Trails
Necessary Equipment
HIGH LIFT JACK, This tool has a wide variety of uses including straighten out a frame, realigning front steering arms and can be used as a emergency tow bar.
AIR COMPRESSOR, before you start on the trail lower your tire pressure to improve off road capabilities. You will need to air back up at the end of the trail.
WINCH, RECOVERY STRAP, TREE PROTECTIVE STRAP AND D RINGS to mount into your bumper receiver hitch.
ICE CHEST for emergency rations. Follow this link for food suggestions.
FIRST AID KIT
Overnight Camping Gear
TENT, not a two man tent really only sleeps one. The new popup tents are awesome and literally only take minutes to set up.
SLEEPING BAGS, I'd rather be warm then cold I recommend 30 F degree. I also recommend rectangle shape bags. They are easier to get in and out of. If your traveling as a couple buy identical bags. You can zipper them togethier to form a queen size bag.
AIR MATTRESS, don't be cheap. The cheaper air mattress are usually thinner and are easily pierce by a trig small branch.
